Finally the day most of the people in technology have been waiting for is finally here.
I personally from Africa didn't want to miss the launch and lucky enough engadget was blogging it live so I caught all the action from a continent with real low internet speeds.
Its hard to believe that the "iPad" name didn't acquire as much buzz as the others (iSlate, iTablet).
Personally I had many reasons why it was going to be called the "iPad". And first of them all is that it rhymes very well with the name "iPod" which is one of apple's greatest products.
Second reason was the the word "tablet" is so cliche and with apple's desire for uniqueness that wouldn't have been a good idea.
Anyway I think that's enough for my very first blog post and I hope to keep posting more posts for both developers, publishers, consumers and everybody interested in the iPad.
